John Januszczak is the President & CEO of UBX and the Chairperson of ECCP Special Committee on Open Finance and Financial Inclusion. Originally from Canada, his degree in Astrophysics and experience in telecom, commercial software, banking and insurance industries provides a unique and well-rounded perspective on digital platforms. Before spearheading UBX, he played pivotal roles as Senior Executive Adviser at UnionBank and Chief Operating Officer at Manulife Philippines, showcasing his exceptional leadership journey.

Mario Domingo

Global Chief Technology Officer

Mario Domingo brings extensive experience as the Global Chief Technology Officer at UBX, previously serving as the Asia-Pacific Group Technology Officer at the Chicago Board Options Exchange. He has successfully built Artificial Intelligence technology businesses and is the founder of DARC Labs, a cancer and diagnostics research center powered by AI. With a track record of successful exits in tech companies, he is recognized as a prominent figure in Digital Transformation and Artificial Intelligence in the country. Additionally, he serves as the director of the Ateneo Institute for Digital Enterprises at the Graduate School of Business.

William Valtos Jr.

Senior Managing Director

William “Billy” Valtos Jr., is the Senior Managing Director of UBX. As a former financial institution CEO, Billy brings over 30 years of C-level expertise in building shareholder value. With an extensive network of trusted relationships and deal experience in the Philippines, Japan, and Silicon Valley, Billy helps grow and transform companies by leveraging on digital and emerging technologies and developing capital markets strategies. Billy runs UBX’s Enterprise Business Segment, advocates digital synergies within the Aboitiz Group, leads small cap mergers and acquisition efforts, evaluates and manages investments and partnerships, mentors teams, and works closely with the CEO and CTO to deliver results to the UBX stakeholders and its clients.

Pancho Reyna

Managing Director of AI, Data 

& Engineering

Pancho Reyna is the Managing Director of AI, Data and Engineering in UBX. He is nearing 20 years of experience and has served as CEO of a data analytics company, Head of Software Engineering for an international low-latency stock exchange operator, and Founder/CEO of a tech solutions services company. His expertise spans software engineering, data analytics and tech startups in telecoms, banking, big data, and finance.

Joy Golez is a seasoned executive with a notable track record in the financial and insurance sectors. Having served as the Regional Director at Manulife IT Delivery Center and previously as the Head of Information Services at Manulife Philippines, Joy’s leadership has been exceptional. Her distinguished career reflects a commitment to driving operational excellence and innovation in dynamic corporate environments.

James Aguilar, the Head of Technology Delivery at UBX, is a seasoned professional with over 10 years of experience in software development and IT management across telecoms, banking, data analytics, and finance. He co-founded a custom software development startup, overseeing its growth to 30 full-time employees and generating $500K USD in revenue within the first three years.
